Watching your progress closely. May save me from buying another radio!I’ve been getting a lot of feedback from my baofeng radios so with help from a professional (@Ragnar406) I decided to try a new antenna system on the Honda. No chirping today with a 30 minute test. Next weekend I can trail test it in Mulberry with @my99svt

Lol I am watching too! No doubt antenna choice will increase transmission and reception over the stock antenna (especially if stock is damaged). I am still looking for something that will stick out the back past the roof.Watching your progress closely. May save me from buying another radio!

Got a link for the radio mount...i like that location.I think the antenna and cabling was around $25. That axia Mount was by far the most expensive thing. I just didn’t want to radio flopping around anymore. Khan helped me pick the antenna and cabling out. Hopefully it works much better. I might drive around this afternoon and see if my wife can hear me better at the house.

I didn’t want it close to the whips to try and keep any electrical interference down. I’m already fighting some kind of interference. That’s what started the whole process of new antenna and re-rerouting cabling.
