Neg. I don't believe in it. 100 acre and I had an in depth conversation about it last week. The only advantages are being able to rotate and having a spare the same size as all tires. He said he had 3000 miles on his tires and I asked if any one of them had more wear than the others, he said no. So unless you're doing a lot of road running, there went the rotation thing.
I have a spare that is 9" wide like the front and could be put on back to get me home if needed. I think having wider in the back gives you more contact and traction, also evens out the track width. You'll need spacers on the back if you go with same size, unless you're okay with uneven track width? Through the ruts of RRB, I was thankful to have an even track width. My 2 cents...
