If you think you need a stiffer spring, like I am thinking for mine, you could probably order the 1000-5 shocks for your 1000-3. Spring rate details here: P1000 - Fox shock preload Mine rides great with the Fox shocks, and most everyone else says the same. The 3 compression adjustment settings are all I need for forest roads and rocky trails. I just have an issue with the design where the rear spring upper lower-rate coils bind. Fronts are perfect. I guess I'll' increase the rear preload a little more and re-worry the springs next year when I go with larger tires. That's all I have to say about that.
I'm looking into changing out the rear springs for the exact same reason. I want to get a few rides in before I spend the money and decide though. They are night and day better than the stock shocks but I wasn't too fond of the coil bind with barely any preload cranked in.

Looks good! What year? How deep are you going to need the snorkel?
Thanks! 2018 and snorkel is more of a precautionary measure. I've never taken it deeper than the bottom of the seat and even then it wasn't intentional. The ATV park near me has some nasty spots and sometimes the hole you went through a weekend ago that was 6" deep is now 3 feet deep.

Ya a bunch of guys have swapped out the springs. They’ll post up soon I’m sure but 275-300 on 14” is the most common for rears. Going lighter.
After talking with some members I’ve settled in on what I think is good for us and pulled the trigger myself on all 4 springs. The rears will be 320 at 15”
Couldn't find 15" springs, but just ordered Eibach 14" at 325# for the 1000-5. I always have 100lbs or more in the back. I'll probably have near 2" of preload on them.

Interesting side note: The Fox QS3s arrive with a set preload spring length of 13.25". With a stroke of 6.1 and spring solid length of 6.73, increasing the preload to a static spring length (i.e.jacked up and tire of the ground) of less than 12.83" could result in spring binding on heavy hits to the suspension. My current static spring length is 12.25", so I'm vulnerable to binding. Thus, the new springs on order.

QS3 rear shocks for 1000-5: (1000-3 shocks are different)
Fox part# 52400-HL4-M41 etched on lower mount
15.25" free spring length
8.52" of travel (solid length: 15.25-8.52=6.73") (Fox could not confirm solid length, but did say the travel was 8.52")
6.1" Shaft stroke
187-350 lbs progressive rate

Excellent info on progressive springs: Linear vs Progressive Rate Suspension Springs | Tech Tips | Hyperco Race track bubbas already know all this, but for the rest of us it explains why it is normal and okay for the upper portion of the spring (lower rate portion, coils closer together) to bind under preload/normal use.

Feel free to shoot holes in the above, though it would be the very first time ever I was wrong . . . . in the last five minutes.
