Hello,

I just had my first 100mile break-in done. I took it back out, and I can drive for about 20-30 mins, and it dies, and the oil check light comes on. If I wait about 1-2 minutes, I can start it back up, and it is running fine.

Then dies again

Any help or thoughts would be great.

Check oil-- good
Rest the maintenance wrench -- good

And... That's the only thing you did was change the oil and filter for the first service?
Did you change the DCT filter as well?
Did you change the sub transmission as well?
Did you install both filters correctly. With the spring in the right place. Spring to the outside. Cap side.
Filter installed right direction, big hole to engine?
Are you checking the oil correctly, per the book? Run for a 5 minuets, let sit a 2 minuets, then check without screwing in?

Yikes. Maybe when I have to through this I should just pay the dealer. I don't know what all has to be done for the 100 mile service.
Its not hard. Really its just a oil change and a few other checks.
But people, and dealers, make mistakes all the time.

Some of the issues are...
- Drain the sub transmission in error, then not refilling it.
- Not draining both of the TWO oil drain spots. Engine and Oil tank.
- Install filters wrong. Ex, did not install the spring.
- Tighten filter bolts too much and snap a bolt.
- Fill via the dip stick hole vs the full tube.
- Not checking the dipstick correctly as per book.

Its not a hard job.
Dealer will charge you about $300+
$500+ if you ask them to check the valves.

You didn't mention that... Or at least not in that manor.

Do you know how to check the oil. Correctly? Owners manual around page 132
Do you know where the sub trans dip stick is to check it too? around page 143
I would check both of them and document it before taking it in.

Yes, I did check the oil, and it is full. As for the sub-train, I did not check that.

I have 185 miles total on this machine.

Here is the odd deal, I was able to get it run again, and it gave me no trouble for the trail back to our staging location. Let it cool down and took it back to our trailer, and boom, it died again. (same deal oil came on and no power)

What I have checked so far:
oil -
Senors -
loose wires-

Things I did not do -
Check the sub-trans
Check the gas vent -- no clue where it is

Check the ground on top of the engine by the starter. Put a socket on the bolt and see if it turns, theyve been known to be stripped.

The hole is shallow and when they stacked the extra winch ground in 2018 the bolt was made longer and it strips the threads. If it is take it to the dealer and have them flip the ground under to the engine case halve bolt.
