Made a set of tailgate braces from 3/16" thick flat bar by 2" wide and iirc 27" long. Took the torx head tailgate latch bolts out of the side of the truck box (went to hardware store and bought matching thread bolts and nuts). Then took the torx latch bolts and with hardware store nuts fastened to tailgate end of brace so it would latch into tailgate. Took the same thread bolts I bought and fastened the flat bar to the other end into the truck box (where the torx latch bolts used to be). Very similar to the DG supports, only better as they are CUSTOM by me! Hahhha... truth be told I couldnt find any (DG ones) in my town and wanted to haul my P5 with the blade on to the farm property to plough snow. Work awesome. I also have a plywood base in bottom of bed on my F250 96 short bed extracab powerstroke. To add strength I placed some 1" angle iron on the edges of the plywood to disperse weight across bed and tailgate. So far so good. My concern is bending the bottom tailgate hinges, but so far the design is working. Just lift blade up, back P 5 in box, cinch down rig with ratchet straps over each wheel, secure snow blade from moving either up or down, store folding ramps under machine voila!
