Overlanding trailer for UTVs

Wonder if one could use the stock rear a-arms and shocks 🤔 Would just need factory hubs.

I looked into the timbren hubs. My stock arms are trash i don't have them to try. I planned to just make them from dom tube. Barnes off road has builders bushing kits and some other neat parts for fabing

I like the idea of using parts from your Honda pioneer to build the trailer with whether it’s axles or hubs wheels tires etc. that way if you had an issue with your pioneer on the trail you could always scrounge something off the trailer in order to get it trail ready again in case of an emergency besides bring spares. Military did this with their CUCV trucks and the M101A2 trailers both having the same type of rims snd tires. I’m not sure about axles though.

I agree I figured a 2500lb timbren hub was overkill but they make a 7" brake drum kit or them. Also there 4 lug so getting adapters to use honda wheels shouldn't be hard.

Still in design phase. Deciding if a basic trailer with a small roof top tent will make the most sense. Been eyeing this if I go that route: iKamper - SKYCAMP Mini - The Small Roof Top Tent For Any Vehicle

The other route is basically an enclosed square drop made out of aluminum, fiberglass or carbon fiber.

In the end, it may just be a new tent and some cots to make this trip work.

Lol, well time does slip away, and before you know it, you’re looking down the barrel of the last month….so I can understand how this can happen…
