I haven't been into this for a while, but aren't tender springs those short springs Ive seen sitting on top with the Polaris's?

You just need the length / diameter we've been talking about here, and the weight rating you need.
That's what I thought as well. My impression is the "tender" spring is a small one stacked on top of another spring. This spring is 3"x14" and has the option of rate from 100 to 800.

This is the response I got from FOA

Just purchase the coils based on the ID length and rate no difference between primary and tender just how we had to data log them for inventory

Thank you

Did you change your preload measurement after you went to single rate shocks?

@Robobrainiac I had to go back and dig a little to answer your question. Between the 814s, Fox with stock springs, and Fox with new springs, I had a lot of preloading.

For the rear, I had .866" of preload on the Fox shocks with the dual rate springs. I wound up running .810" with the new springs.

I've got 1.48" preload on the front now. Not sure what it was with the stock springs.

I was really pushing the preload torque to get my rear height back with those dual rate springs. Once I went to the single rate, I had lots of adjustability.

I know this is an older thread from ~9 months ago, but I ended up with 46.75 MM (1.84") on the fronts and 44.25 MM (1.74") on the rears. I, too, run the Viper linear springs (250#/300#). So far, no issues and plenty of room. I wanted to clear a 5 gallon bucket :)

That's ok my c fab arms are still sitting in their box. Maybe next week I can install them. Then I will have to redo my pre load.

Do you have a lift to clear the bucket?

A-Arms are super easy, really. I can R&R all four corners (arms, shocks, etc.) blindfolded ... now. :D

No lift - just (likely) pushing the envelope a little on preload, but so far, so good.

Those are 1/2" TA UHMW skids. I clear all the way down the middle, front to back.

This one. Those numbers were kind of jacked, though, as they were when I had the 814s and a bunch of preload.

Thank you greatly! Do you have different measurements today than you used to? Do you appreciate your current pre load ride better?

@Robobrainiac I've got some numbers in my notes, but I'm not sure if they were the 814 or Fox numbers. I'll have to check them this weekend.

I like my current ride better. I was taller with the 814s, but it also felt like I was riding on top of the springs instead of within them. That could have been due to over-preloading, though. I sat them somewhere around the 4-4.5" numbers where I read everyone was setting them, but it was probably too much. My current preload numbers are 1.5" on the front and 0.8 on the rear with Fox shocks and viper springs.
