This will cover my progress as my R evolves.

My situation as I write this: Ive had my R for a week. 66 miles, not nearly enough! Currently ive made 2 changes since bringing it home. 1 : Removed door nets 2 : I rotated the spark arrestor clockwise 1 hole. The reason is to help push sound and exhaust gas back behind the machine.

Future plans include tires windshield winch bumpers tree kickers...ect ect. My parts list is way bigger than my wallet so things will progress slow.

Welcome from SE Missouri.....
You may consider drilling some new holes in the tip...the way you have it now looks like a good way to hold water

Some goodies came in today! Im pretty excited about this one.... the Super ATV Talon Tailgate. Install was super easy, remove 4 allen head bolts. Set tailgate into position. Install supplied bolts. Tailgate is solid and built well. It did seem slightly narrow.....about .5 inch. But once all the bolts were tight it drew out to mating surfaces just fine. It has a few loops for tie downs in the corners. I may add a screen around the inside to keep smaller things contained.....but its way better than a wide open spot.

Do you think it's sturdy enough to hold a 2 gal rotopax or a spare tire?

Definitely ready for a rotopack or jerrycan. The sheet metal looks to thin for a tire to be bouncing around on it. The frame will support it, so id say if you welded a few heavy uprights in it it would work for a spare

I decided to go with a 1/2 windshield. I dont want to feel like an ant under a magnifying glass, but some break from the wind is nice. I went with the Super ATV 1/2 windshield. It was waklet friendly. Install was a breeze! Came with plenty of weatherstrip, fit was good and the mounting tab layout was spot on. 2 plastic and velcro clips secure the wind screen, while at the same time cover up the roll cage bungs. Can be put on or taken off in minutes. Im 6'2, and it pushes the wind up far enough i can feel it at top of my hat. No more turning my hat backwards or having it blow off. Tested to 65 mph. Downside is that its lexan....prone to scuff and scratches. Ill be on the lookout for some kind of coating. Over all very pleased with its performance.
