557BBF and a glide. I run 8.50 index with it, runs 5.40 with 8.50 setup. im sure if I wanted to I could get it in the 5.teens.

That's smokin right along. My n/a small block Dart has ran 6.44 in street trim on pump 93, I expect it to run deep in the .30's in race trim and the new converter.

Not a dumb question but I do a lot of road riding in the country. If you can set up my suspension to make my pioneer faster from a 25mph roll to topped out im all ears. its not breaking traction or handling bad, its slow. Maybe for some people they aren't... but this 1000cc engine is on par with 800 class machines when it comes to getting to top out speed. Id like it to perform like other 1000s that's all
No DOUBT LETS GET SOME POWER TO THESE THINGS !!! I am gonna do the power commander V and auto tune maybe intake and exhaust

I've been considering buying a 1000 rzr turbo, just for hard riding, and leave the Honda in the garage except to do land management around my property... last few trail rides with my buddies, has left me wanting a lot more power as well.

If we asked this crossover machine to keep up with the pure sport vehicles then we will be left wanting more suspension, lower center of gravity and, etc.

But I still would like to have more power!

I am looking for a better sound and a pipe that is tuned for higher RPM to use with paddle shifters. This is my first UTV and I am not used to the sound yet and would love to have bolt on.performance that gave better throttle response...its not about more speed per-say but better response from the unit. We all have driven a car that is slow to respond when getting on it. A good exhaust system will give us quicker throttle response thus a quicker vehicle. I have no idea where to start looking for it??

Update!! I did the power commander V, auto-tune, K&N air filter. It really shifts so much quicker and smoother! I too want a exhaust! don't necessarily need it super loud, just would like it to gain some hp and sound like real bike. In my opinion the mods are definitely worth it it sure takes off outta the hole IMG 4252 Willie

Awesome start and finally a pic of P1K getting it done in the dunes. We were a Glamis Dunes family for many years until we moved to Texas. I have plans of taking our new HP1K5 to Glamis this winter and cant wait, its RZR Nation there. I like the tire set up you are running and I will probably run very similar tire set up. Out of curiosity how do you run the transmission 2WD or 2W Turf? I imagine running in 4WD makes handling tough and probably makes it slower? Did you add 4 point harnesses syetem?

Keep us posted on your pipe decision. How does the Honda handle the larger taller bowls? My only hesitation is running quick on the razor backs and transitioning over the tops being so high centered? I am so used to running quads or my Sand Rail that stay low with a wide stance and plenty of travel, in your opinion how does your P1K handle?

Thanks!

OK well you do need to know.. they are heavy.. With my paddle setup I can do most anything if have any type of run at it, carry your speed and I kept it in 2wd the whole time. Highly recommend you buy some paddles, bought some that I really like (tried a few trips without) and couldn't believe how well they got me going and even in reverse they hook up like you wouldn't believe! I bought mine used once from a can can maverick, bored out the small hole they use (3\8") to the Real mans lug (Honda 9\16") its the same bolt pattern .IMG 4192 IMG 4197 IMG 4199 IMG 4204 IMG 4200

hey if you want sizes and stuff just hit me up, they are a competition cut (don't compete or anything that's just what they call it) but i'm sure you can see that from the photos! Very impressed with the steering and smoothies on front make it float!

youll love it :)
i dont think it is unreasonable to ask for more power/speed out of these machines. especially when you can look at a general that will run between 70-80mph out of the box and have 30ish more hp from the same size motor. That would leave me looking at honda for some answers.. Back in the day when the 900 rzrs came out Polaris detuned the motors from the factory. you could reprogram the computers and throw a clutch kit in them and they would out run the newer xp1k's. You would think this would be the case with the pioneers but there doesnt seem to be the support from the aftermarket for this, its kind of disappointing.
