Factory tires suck. Better on the 700. Well 1500.00 you would get better tires...

Anyone know what the specs are as far as replacing the rims? Bolt pattern, spacing etc. Trying to find some rims for my new 500 and not sure where to start. Thanks for any help.

bolt pattern is 4-110 most aftermarket wheels are 5+2 offset or 4+3 depending on the brand same as rincons and yamaha uses

Yep..
The 500 uses the same wheel as the 700. Offset specs are not posted by Honda. But the actual rim size is printed on the wheel.
Here is what we measure them out to be.
Front 12x6 with a 4.5+1.5 offset.
Rear is 12x7.5 with a 6+1.5 offset.

I have a set of take offs from my new Pioneer 500. What other application will the work on? Will they fit on the Honda Foreman 500? I am wanting to sell them but trying to find the market besides another Pioneer 500. Thanks for your help in this matter.

I tried to switch the front p5 wheels with my rincons. When put on the rincon the wheel holes were too big and the nuts wouldn't hold it right. When put on the p5, the nuts tightened at 3/4 the way on the stud. It would mess up your stud threads if ran that way.

I see this thread is a bit old, but I was hoping to rekindle. I have a 500 and the stockers seem pretty lame. I ordered 26" Sti black diamonds for the rear and 26" duro Buffaloes for the front (keeping stock 12" rims). Just curious if any of you have experience with these tires, if I can assume no rubbing and if mixing brands is a bad idea.

if the tires are equal in height it shouldnt be an issue but i highly doubt they are why not just run black diamonds all the way around

No dice. Didn't have the fronts in our size. I can't believe 1/2 inch would compromise the ride. But I'm the new guy. So teach me.

Not many people mix brands or sizes outside the 2x4 market. Most still like them to be the same brand. With a 4x4 you usually want to stay the same all around so they turn equal. A difference could "potentially" cause strain on the drive line.

Now, with all that said. I personally do not think you should be concerned. If there is a difference it is small.

Even with a large difference. The strain only happens in 4x4. And if you 're in 4x4 you will most likely have plenty of wheel slip to relieve it. Unless you are playing tug-a-war on pavement then you are just asking for a issue.

How much do the stock rims weigh?

I have a 2017 P500 and wondering what tires i can put on to gain some ground clearance but keep the factory rims. Mostly used for trail and farm work...not doing a lot of mudding. Thanks

26 or 27”... tusk trilo bite hd is a great tire for a great price. If you want radial go maxxis bighorn 2 or kenda bear claw htr...if you want a tire you can run over a mine field with, get Sedona rip-saws...8 or 9” wide front and 10 or 11” rear... look at weight when you buy... heavier tires rob power big time on the p500...

I just returned from Southern Idaho deer hunting putting 243 miles on my P5 in 8 days over extremely rocky roads and terrain, kinda like a mine field. Running 25" Ripsaw R/Ts wit 5psi in front and 6psi in the rears. No flats and no problems. On my to western Colorado tomorrow to deer hunt near Montrose, more rocky ground. We'll see how the Ripsaws continue to hold up.

I have 26” Bighorn original on mine. They run on the larger side. So I have gained more than 2” of ground clearance which was very important to me. Got my rim and tire package for Rocky Mountain atv. C571a19f39667b940077e4ba40b2e512
