Picked up a headset hanger from Amazon and mounted it to the new overhead fan mounting frame.

I mounted some overhead jacks to plug the headsets on both sides of the hanger bracket.

Installed some roof gutters from Wicked Pecker Offroad. It helps a lot with the water draining off the roof into the cab.

I put some insert fitting elbows on the gutter outlets to route the gutter drains to the windshield instead if the tubing down to the fender openings.

Installed TheCom intercom and GMRS radio in the overhead area. I was able to mount the video screen for the rear view camera below the radio.View attachment 439958

Mounted the antenna in a adjustable mount that allows the antenna to be folded 90 degrees to prevent damage in tight wooded trails.

Used some ram mount components to mount the PTT button next to the steering wheel.

I have the same radio and intercom system as you have. I have a lot of static on my radio. It has a built in filter and Coms recommend another filter which I tried and still a lot of static. The Com told me that the Honda Talon has dirty electrical system (or something to that effect). How is the clarity of your radio? My intercom if perfect. I've had my set up for about 3 years.

I don't experience a lot of static. I replaced the the cheap antenna cable and mount they supply with a more durable mount

@Prntckt ckt what antenna cable did you use? I used the original factory antenna mount on the Talon, just had to make the hole bigger.
I ordered these items from Amazon. RG8 coax and NMO mount. In my opinion, much more substantial than the cable/mount supplied from TheCom.

Thank you very much, I will give that a try, hopefully get rid of a lot of the static. @Prntckt
Some other things to consider..... I bonded the antenna ground with a 12 guage wire directly to an electrical system ground vs bonding it to the frame. My radio (and all of the electrical acessories Ive added are powered by a second, full size AGM battery that is isolated/charged from the OEM battery/charging system by a True isolator.

@Prntckt All good things to know. I too have the radio connected a second battery, but I grounded my antenna wire to the frame. I will ground it to the ground side of an electrical system. Thank you again. I'll try the grounding the antenna first.

Do not run your antenna cable along or near any other electrical wiring (OEM harness, LED whip lights, etc). Keep it as isolated as possible.

Also, do not "loop" any excess antenna cable. Cut it to the proper length needed and add a new connector.

These two things are very common install mistakes that lead to interference.

Also, after first installing my antenna on the flag/antenna mount in the ROPS, I relocated it using a proper mount from Axia Alloys. They make great products.

Documented my full install starting here.
