That plate is 3 inches wide and welded inside and underneath backside of that square tube the full 3 inches. Then welded to the diagonal. It aint going anywhere.
So if you do end up making these let me just say I'll buy one. My wife has been asking me to come up with somtn like this but I just haven't got around to it. Nice work! There is another option that i have drawn out that can be bolted in. Got somebody that may make them, but it requires more tubing etc. It attaches to the rear shock tower upright tube AND the front tube behind the radiator. Runs behind the shock. Had to get real creative with that design but it was one of those AHAH! Moments when i figured it out.
Almost ready for Tackett.
That'll do it. Glad it was something simple

He hasn't been on the site in a while bud. I've been running shock spacers for a while now and it's not a drastic change on ride comfort. Stock shocks kinda suck to begin with sooooo....... What ever little comfort is lost by adding that bit of preload to the shock is a good trade for the 1.5"+ ride height you gain. One of the cheapest mods you can try, that and eliminating the rear sway bar 👍Did you notice much difference in the ride after adding the shock spacers?
