Monte, the insulation really helped with the heat an steam that rise from below. I also notice that the noise from the gear box was less noticeable. Glad I did it.

Very good ct. I'd like to know as time goes on how the material holds up to continual exposure to water from the creeks and such. Does it mold, begin to smell, or worse break down. Perhaps you can provide occasional feedback to that. Thanks

On my p5 heat is really warm where the seat belt locks are.In warm weather I have to keep a rag stuffed in both slots and when warm you run through water and steam will burn you thru there.Any one else's do this.lol

This is what I ordered, water/oil resistant. You can get any thickness you want, I ordered 1/2 inch. I was going to get 3/4 but need to make sure that the seats will still fit on. I'll post pics and comments when it arrives.

Thanks, because I used a piece of rubber on my rear deck modification and I carry gas and diesel back there and spilled gas once which caused the rubber to raise big knots in it. So I'm looking for a suitable replacement.

Just got this from Amazon. I wasn't going to share till I tried it out, but it almost looks like it was made for our seats! Time will tell if it's going to hold up, but I'm sure it will make hot weather rides more comfortable!

Beaded seat cover. Wooden beads. Like the old ones that were great for on vinyl seats in cars. This ones made for a goldwing. It was like $38 so I'm going to evaluate for a while till I buy another.

She hates fun so she doesn't ride much... Unfortunately, that's not a joke.

The idea of a 12 volt "butt cooling rack" that plugs into the cigarette lighter somehow struck me as hilarious! Not lol, but really laughing out loud.

I bet there was one in the 1974 JC Whitney catalog...

Sorry I didn't mention... The wire coming off is actually a bungee cord. It has a bungee with a hook at each corner. i might remove them and thread some cord through the beads to attach it better. Didn't have much time last night to mess with it.
