I did find one flaw today. I've had better suspension travel on skate boards. Doesn't take much to bottom out at speed. But, my driving on the hunting "range" is not white knuckled hold on to yer' nads driving. Today, I wanted to flex the capabilities of the tires.

In the end, I wanted a sporty hybrid-esque sxs with a utilitarian side and the P500 fits that bill and then some.
Yeah stock shocks...
are horrible. .in the front
another upgrade

OK - I remeasured the width both front and rear with the assistance(Four eyes/Four hands).

At 7psi I am 50.75 at rear and 51.75 at the front. HONDA OE "rear rims" on all four corners. <<<PHATTTT

Yep, that'll fit most 50" trails. ;)

I think if you were to crank up the PSI up to approx 10PSI, it would squeak by on a 50" trail. Of course a can or two of spray silicon might help a person "slide by" . I can't prove this but, it would seem that a 26x11x11 Sedona Rip-saw tires should come in or about 50-ish. ;)

I've seen one forum member declare he's seen a restricted trail with the posts 50" apart. Everything I've been on we're 52-54" apart.

I have a set, i ran them at the Takeover last year, never got stuck. Worked very well in the mud and slippery rocks of Tennesssee. Also i use mine around the ranch, never had them fail me.

Bearclaw HTR or Ripsaws, which would hold up better on black top?

Personally speaking if you are riding much black top you don't need either tire. I have Ripsaws but have no idea how they would hold up because they never see pavement but I don't think they would wear very good.

I'm crossing my fingers and praying NC gets the storm they are predicting. If so I'll post pictures with the RSs in the snow

We have a hunting rig. Woods , mountain. Rock, some mud but not a lot. We like to ride black top on summer evenings to look at deer in the fields. Trying to decide on best tire for our needs. Rip saw , HTR , ....suggestions?

Exactly, it's not the gates I'm worried about.
You've probably noticed the chainsaw strapped to the rear of mine in pictures when I'm on the trail. My buddy and I have opened miles of long forgotten overgrown trails in our NF. And it hasn't cost the taxpayer a dime, gratis, a favor to other riders that can now use them. As long as they aren't in P1K's, we didn't cut wide enough for that.
