I'd like to add spacers to my SSS skid plate to help clean/clear mud from underneath when pressure washing.
I don't think they'd need to be very tall, 1/8 or 1/4" maybe.

What material would work, inexpensive?
Or maybe stack some galvanized or stainless washers?

I'd maybe try to find some made of UHMW plastic, like the skids, and then see if I could solder/melt them to the skid plate so the install would be easier. Or I suppose you could just glue them.

I found some options on McMaster. Although I would have concerns about spacing the entire skid that far away from the frame. I would think the skid directly on the frame adds an insane amount of support. I would be tempted to drill a few extra holes where you want everything to drain.
But, here are some plastic options.
I am not sure how large an OD you need to support the skid/washer assembly.

Maybe use a hole saw and cut them out of the stock skid ?

Red beat me to it!

Not crazy about this idea. Gonna let in a LOT more debris: rocks, sticks, grasses, etc.
Plus probably act like a cheese grater on dirt and mud when dragging, belly sliding, etc. Impacting/compacting until wash time can happen . . .

Appreciate the responses . . .

Folllowing… I need to do the same.
I would rather not cut drain holes in skid as well.

Maybe use a hole saw and cut them out of the stock skid ?
My original skid plate went in the dumpster as soon as the upgraded one went on.

I drilled a couple of drain holes in my skid plates. It doesn't seem to hurt anything but I'm not sure it helped any either.
