Went on a ride today that was rocky and rough. Hit the bottom several times. Would 26 in bighorn 2.0 give me much lift. I don’t want to go to big if I don’t have too. I found a umhw complete skid for 275. Would it be worth this. Thanks

I would think so . 26s would help a lot to . When I had a p5 I think the stockers measured about 23 1/2 inches.

Anything is better than the factory skids.

A few nice rock hits, saved the underbelly. Aluminum does bend on a P500 due to distance between frames.

You'll never drive over a 5 gal bucket or anything but 26's give it a decent height. Couple of different options on skids, $275 sounds cheap for a full skid, does it cover the rockers too or just what the factory one does? I have Ricochet rock sliders on mine, then I went with a UMHW skid plate. I believe @Mudder did the same but with an aluminum skid.

$275 seems rather inexpensive to me, who makes them?

Which kind do you have muddier?
Ricochet brand, full center with side rock sliders and all four A arms. For the center I would go UHMW if doing it over again due to the bending of aluminum to where it rubbed an engine mount and rattled. Bent it back with a tractor weight. That said, the Ricochet products are thick.

Side plates are critical if you seriously use it. I was amazed on how much my first SxS (60" wide) bashed the sides regularly. I was usta a lifted , big tire ATV that rubbed occasionally. The narrow P-5 is not nearly as bad but still should be protected.
