Anyone using the Honda aluminum skid plate in their P5? I’m also looking at the SSS plate too but not sure the mud building up on the outer areas of the plate under the floorboards.
If you ever plan to ride at RRB get the SSS full coverage skid plates you won’t regret buying them

I had the sss full armor. It rocked, slid and like underwear, protected my bottom from trail shards...🤣

If you go Aluminum -
Eventually you will realize why so many use UHM.

As for the shelf :
PICKUP Truck Tailgate Liner cut to fit & secured with self tapping screws
Keeps 95% + mud snow & ice Out) Depending on cut & fit skills ( included couple pictures l
left clean out holes - ft. & rear - near frame (for water hose )
And works as floor protection ( stick punctures through floor some have had happen )

I have aluminum Ricochet rock sliders and full skid plates. Due to the span between the center frame members the plate bowed upward and caused a rattle against an engine mount. I had to flatten it by driving a tractor over it. If doing it over, I would go with UHMW

No on the aluminum, it can dig into rocks, and it’s terribly noisy when gravel gets on top of it. UHMW is the ticket.

With branches on the ground, consider a plate inside the wheel well to prevent intrusion in the cab.
