Anyone using the Honda aluminum skid plate in their P5? I’m also looking at the SSS plate too but not sure the mud building up on the outer areas of the plate under the floorboards.
If you ever plan to ride at RRB get the SSS full coverage skid plates you won’t regret buying themAnyone using the Honda aluminum skid plate in their P5? I’m also looking at the SSS plate too but not sure the mud building up on the outer areas of the plate under the floorboards.
The bobsledding down the rutted hills at RRB was a pleasant and fun surprise with the SSS skids. Fall into the 'chute' with all 4 tires off the ground, and away you go!I had the sss full armor. It rocked, slid and like underwear, protected my bottom from trail shards...🤣
Rock sliders here. Only because I didn't have nerfs yet. Seemed like a good idea for RRB.For everyone running the SSS plates are you using the original style or the new one with the rock slider? Trying to decide if it’s worth $150 for that 2” tall outer edge.
ThanksDIRTBILY

4 warned - Pricey - well worth the investment
No on the aluminum, it can dig into rocks, and it’s terribly noisy when gravel gets on top of it. UHMW is the ticket.Anyone using the Honda aluminum skid plate in their P5? I’m also looking at the SSS plate too but not sure the mud building up on the outer areas of the plate under the floorboards.
Sorry but a newbie here, what is SSS? And does anyone have a link? I'm in serious need of a skid plate. Loggers left a mess at my hunting camp and I'm tired of pulling sticks out from underneath my ride
With branches on the ground, consider a plate inside the wheel well to prevent intrusion in the cab.Sorry but a newbie here, what is SSS? And does anyone have a link?
