Breaking in the new speakers

That video had the sub turned off and is intended to show the sound that’s been added with the addition of the new speakers. I will get a better video with a walk around this week.

Yeah, it is a huge improvement over the 4-4” BOSS speakers! No the phone does not do it justice. I charged up the GOPRO to make the next video where It will be tuned properly and I will do a walk around. I was just messing around with @trigger with the little Hulk figure in this video. I thought he would get a kick out of it

Currently the gains on my amp powering the Bazookas are both turned all the way down so guaranteed higher quality videos coming soon.

There are a few songs I listened to as currently set up that have me excited to see what these things can do when broken in.

Now I can install this in the mini Beast and return the one currently installed back into the Beast. She has been without BASS for a while now

Yeah, the Boss's work but that's about it. Phones don't do justice for sound and my knock off go pro sucks too. Found out that the sound quality using a handheld camcorder works best.

Changed the oil for the first time on the P5, checked the K&N, replaced the plug, performed clutch adjustment, and replaced the seal on the air box.


Looks like it was ready

I spun the 4” Boss speaker towards the rear while adjusting the nets. Easy to spin them back just grab firmly and rotate. Could be cool for wider trails where they won’t catch trees.

Gives me an opportunity to hear the 6x9’s as well which are breaking in nicely. Cranked the amp up to about 1/3 gain and gave them more of a workout! Really nice sound, but still missing something. Thinking about two 5 1/4” roof mounted into pods!

Also having some problems when cranking it up past a certain point! It has a sweet spot but anything above that the amp kicks out

I will most likely have to add a capacitor just a little short on space (A little P5 humor)

Decided to pull the trigger on a 10 farad capacitor after yesterday’s disappointment with the amp kicking out at high volumes. I think this will be exactly what I need after reading the reviews...

Was the machine running when it was cutting out? The last stereo upgrade I did was to add 5 1/4's pods to the roof, much better than little wake speakers.

It’s just the pxa300.4 that cuts out. The pxa500.1 does not! Same thing happened to me on the Beast and I added a small capacitor and it helped. I’m hoping that the 10 farad cap on order will give this needy power hungry amp what it needs or it will go down the road!

I played around with it today and found a sweet spot where it was pounding hard and I’d crank it up a little more and it would kick out And...while it’s running it’s not as bad!

It was loud... I was across the yard from it (100 ft or so) and it sounded nice but without the cap I still am not sure what she can do! Cap Should be here this Thursday!

Here's the pods I used. Marine Pan525. You have to cut the hole in the face with a 5" hole saw. You can buy the whole kit from HF for like $15. I'll have to get some pics of the fasteners I used. I didn't want a bolt with a nut sitting on top of the roof so I got creative.

So received my capacitor today...shipping box was perfect and the NVX Capacitor Box was damaged! I inspected the capacitor and realized it was used! Damn it...I bought a new product not someone’s return! Emailed the company and will also call in the morning! Sonic Electronix in case anyone is wondering!

I was excited to receive it and this s*** happens! Pisses me off! $170
