Anyone have instructions on how to replace drivers side tie rod. Bent mine the other day and not sure how to remove from the boot.

The bands on the inside can be a pain to cut, I ended up replacing on with a clamp @lee talks about in the thread @GlockMeister posted and then the other one I used a zip tie (cause I lost the band screw). The tie rods are about $23 and I would order you an extra when you do.

Does anyone know where we can buy aftermarket Tie Rods that are more durable than the stock ones. I have looked everywhere and have not been able to locate who makes or sales them. IMG used to make them, but they have been discontinued....

looked at those and some others but the way I look at that is the rack and pinion will be the next thing to go!! so a 25.00 part in the tool box is what i did! PS have changed 3 so far.

The main thought is that with a sturdier Tie rod the energy will be transferred to the steering box - A much more expensive piece that is not easy to get to. Tie rod are cheap at $23-24 and easy to change.

Guess what I was getting to is...
Everyone bends the passenger because they can't see that side as well.
End up cutting it too short and hitting something at a decent speed.
Just something to think about next time you trying to squeeze between those trees at a decent speed.

Bent a left a couple months ago. Tearing down a trail and a rut came out of nowhere and ran out in front of me on the left side after dropping off several small ledges. It was hard to see because it blended with the ledges.
