P1000 Tilt Fuel Shut Off

Hi Folks!
Been doing upgrades to the ole P1000 and was watching some awesome YouTube videos this morning and one was a climb up the “devils back” somewhere. In the video a P1000 gently flops over on its side but the owner was unable to restart due to angle he was at. Guys kept mentioning “tilt meter”. The initial angle when he laid over was pretty good, and I understand why it would not refire at such angle.(fire, oil starvation etc.) However as he was winching it had to be almost upright to refire. I’ve lived my entire life in Northwest Arkansas and have an incredible area to ride in (Ozark Mountains) but this obstacle in the video is something I can find just riding our normal trails around here. And not on purpose. What is everyone’s thinking on this? Are people disabling this feature? Is it even possible? Thanks

Lol! I’ve had my own moments throughout the years lol. I’d like to think I’ve gotten better over time.
I heard he was watching gay midget porn on his phone when this happened. Or touching his pee pee. Or both.

The tilt thing...it's there for safety and to save the engine. The 1000 has a more sophisticated engine than the 700/500 (which I'm pretty sure don't have a tilt kill), and it cost $$$ to fix it. I'd just let it do its job, personally.

We have been told its is a oil sensor that kills the motor when it detects low levels. Once flat it cranked right up.

The Rincon actually had a tilt sensor. I removed mine shortly after the first similar issue.

In the video. This was our 3rd exact problem like this. Drivers side only it seemed like.

Sounds good fellas. I’ll leave be. Thanks for the answers as always. Now patiently waiting for those amazon packages with my aux battery and buss bar to show up today. They show to be out for delivery today! I’ll be over here with my nose stuck to the window waiting patiently.

FYI the Talon seems to have same sensor - about a month back @my99svt tested it out

My YXZ has the same sensor and you have to cycle the key on/off 3 times to reset it. We actually tried that on @joeymt33 rig when he was on his side and it wouldn't crank. 3 on/offs and it fired up.

That's what I always found odd the Pioneer doesnt have a bank angle sensor like everything else fuel injected. I guess maybe they figured guys could get in situations that could cause an issue if a normal bank angle unit was used.

Hey fellas, not to get off topic but got a question. I’m hooking up my second battery and I have researched the forum and am torn in which direction to go as far as grounding for my second battery setup. Can I take the factory winch ground straight to auxiliary battery and then ground my winch and blue sea fuse box straight off that aux battery negative? For my setup on positive Im going from aux battery to winch to stinger to blue sea. I’ve already got the true isolator hooked up in between batteries. Thanks.

Thank you! Looks good! Whatcha using to hold your blue sea Fuse panel down with on battery? Velcro?
