Not on the trail. I have driven it at his place and motocross track and it moves. I'd love it if I owned it but I basically have a brand new Pioneer and it's setup really well for how I like to ride .
What dimensions did you use for the rear mesh panel. I like how you have it tucked into the tail gate.

This is my order form from Covers and all. Keep on mind my roof is cut 3". Before I chopped the roof it did not tuck in the tailgate.

Thank you for the info! I'll double check the height and may have it made a little longer top to bottom.

Looks like your on the opposite side if WI from me. I'm over close to MN, just North of New Richmond. Maybe meet down in BRF or somewhere in the middle for a ride some time?

Have you thought about doing a mesh mid panel so you can still talk to the kids in the rear seat?

I might try this.

I have the hard mid panel and still get a ton of dust. Going to try to add the weatherstripping at the bottom of the doors. But thought I'd also try the mesh on the back to change air flow. Kids are older now, so usually on their own machines.

BRF is a nice area. Haven't been down there in a couple of years. Usually go north. But want to get back down there.

We bought a second machine, so it'll be rare the kids are in the back.

I did the same thing. But last weekend the kids still like the back seat of the pioneer while my wife rode up front alone.

I guess it isn't dusty yet and they might change their mind an another month or two.

Hey Todd how did you end up cutting the windshield? Thinking of giving this a try b4 the TO 🤞
This may sound really dumb but... I used an acrylic knife and the edge of the SuperATV windshield mount as a guide. I marked and drilled my holes then ran the acrylic knife over the edge for what seemed like 1000 times. Basically the knife scores the material and you take the material off 1/64" at a time til you get through the whole thing. My knife looks like this. I cleaned up the edge with a 2" sanding disk and a heat gun. It was not thrilling or glamourous.

Nice 👍
So you didn't have to mess with the notches on the sides of windshield?

You will have to match the profile of the original upper shape to clear the inner windshield mounts. I put zip ties around my struts to only allow it to open to horizontal as well

I ordered the PV3 harness ends from the club store to make room for my PV3 on the dash.

I think this turned out pretty good. 3m VHB and a Velcro cable strap on a piece of aluminum angle.

Well RRB was an awesome trip. The Wildcat, Pioneer and Talon did great. I broke an upper a-arm bolt... Repair to come but it was just a quick bolt swap.

I also bent my upper driver door hinge. Got buried on trail 26. Had to winch for a while and the door hinge caught a stump. The hinge mount bent quick and easy fix

After yet another broken upper control arm bolt we are back at this again. I'm going to give the McMaster grade 12.9s a shot before additional effort.

Arctic Cat bolts for comparison.

Update on the upper a-arm bolts. I have been out twice since TN and have about 200 miles on the new bolts, no squeaks clicks or loose nuts. Maybe this is fixed.

On to new stuff. Ordered an HMF exhaust to get ready for the PV3 wideband adapter and a bit more tuning. Also ordered the quiet core but with out the quiet core it's quite loud.

Cleaned up the old Pioneer today. It's been in the garage a few weeks and never really got washed after our last ride of the year.

PXL 20211226 234420634

Also fought the plow springs and replaced them with a bit stiffer spring.

PXL 20211226 220355306

Lastly made some skid plate modifications to get my tires off the center skid plate. At this point I have a little coil spring rub and a little a-arms rub at full lock. I'm not confident in front axle shafts enough to get on the throttle with this much steering input so I'll call it good enough for now

I had a chance to look into the rear winch idea a bit more today. I stared at this predicament for about an hour. I can't see a bolt in solution and I wasn't motivated enough for a full weld in solution. With a few cuts on the winch mount, I think I can get above 1/2" of clearance to the muffler. This might limit total winch rope length to keep the rope cool enough and a bit further from the muffler.

Anybody done anything like this???
