I think it's worth the price. Its storage space that never gets in your way and it holds stuff in place very well. The fit is very good as well

M6 nutsert. I like the ones from Astro Pneumatic

thanks. I don't have experience with installing Nutserts/Rivnuts. Have seen them used in metal applications. I was concerned about installation into soft plastic, but it looks like it worked just fine in the plastic. So they're OK for materials like plastic and fiberglass? I can see a lot of uses on both the Pioneer and my boat.

Wondering if I have to use a light touch upsetting the nutsert just enough to lock it but not so much that the plastic gets crushed or cracked.

They install just the same in plastic. If its thin or soft you can also just glue them in place after drilling.

OK thanks. I suppose by design they expand a controlled amount. I'll order one of the Astro Pneumatic kits. Been needing one of these for some time - I'm sure I'll find a ton of uses for it.

These are an option for mounting in plastic as well.
I tried standard riv-nuts and wasn't a fan.

Not new news around here but I added my under seat storage box today. Great mod. I cut the door for a better fit and it was perfect.

Dadgum, my door looks exactly like that but apparently is not the same size. I made the cutout on the interior side slap up against the raised portion of panel and cut the exterior side past where the joints overlapped, cutting into the plastic rivets ...... and it still is not wide enough. Were there 2 difference sizes of doors on Amazon?

I had to cut just into the edge of the holes for my rivets. Looks like @ToddACimer may have put his a hair closer to the inside edge since he was able to keep the holes intact.
