Getting ready to head to our weekend property Saturday morning to cut some trails and check on the place. It occurred to me that I’m not really sure what accessories are deemed towable. I have the Honda tip out windshield and Honda roof, I also have a tusk rear panel. My question is how many of you tow your p5 without taking your accessories off? Are the Honda accessories rated for towing? This was just a thought, I welcome everyone’s input.

I tow with the Honda windshield and Tusk rear panel in place. I remove the Honda soft top because it inflates like a balloon and it comes off in under a minute. I do run a tie strap across the width of Tusk Rear panel though... just to kinda keep it from getting abused.

The machine is facing forward on my trailer.

I tow it with the hard roof, half windscreen and full rear vinyl back window. The half windscreen allows wind to blow onto the rear vinyl. No problem whatsoever. And that’s towing the P5 at the far end of a 16 ft flat deck where the the truck isn’t breaking the wind. As @HUCK said, just tow it.

Well, I guess I’ll just tow it lol! I’m looking forward to the trip, just got my son his first four Wheeler for Christmas and he loves to ride. He also loves my pioneer.

Just keep er under a 100, at 101 bad things start happening..;):D But seriously, I noticed a nice increase in gas mileage (bout 2mpg) by taking off the front and rear windows. Only took about 5 mins with the set-up I had. What's really amazing, is at 90+ mph, the plastics don't even flinch on the P500!

Yeah, it seems to be pretty durable. I like my tusk rear panel but I’m still thinking about getting the Kolpin rear windshield that is like my Honda front windshield.

When I make my 1300 mile trek to Montana I leave the full windshield and roof on, but enclose the cab with some plywood panels so I can store stuff and not worry about it.

Hard top, flip up OEM windshield, Fabric rear panel with zippered window. The latter can be zipped open or left closed. Towed 12,000 miles last spring and summer across America and all points betwixt. No worries at all.

Thanks...I look a little hillbilly going down the road, but it has worked well. In a typical year I make two treks, one about 2600 miles and the other 1300 miles. Remember to tie wrap every stray strap end down too. They will really beat things up. Also that tarp will scratch up your windshield. I now put some sticky plastic film on the windshield to prevent that.

Hey @100Acre how do you like your floor strap system? I’ve been thinking about putting those on mine for awhile now.
Its pretty awesome, although there've been times the straps came off the wheels due to really rough roads or changes in altitude, but I use four altogether and it works great for the price. I got them at e trailer, theyre Ericksons like $30 per set

Sounds like you're not tightening them down enough. If you torque them down to the point of the tire mashing a little mine have never came loose. Gives you an alignment target when loading too and puts you in the same place everytime. I plan to put them in the enclosed trailer as well.

Nice job securing the P500 and hope some folks wanting to trailer their Honda Pioneer see that is a great way to go, secure the wheels which is turn allows the suspension to work along the way vs. where I see people trying to squeeze the suspension....
