My isolator fried this weekend, constantly clicking on an off for 30 minutes at a time. Accessory battery completely died. Also wanting to put a full size battery under the seat with a battery tender. Would I just hook it up to the true isolator just like the other battery? Is a deep cycle battery my best option? I have 8 light bars, an under seat fan, interior lights, winch, road feeder, and I’m about to add a sound bar, and one or two more light bars. The small battery won’t keep up but for a little while while riding around at night hunting.

HI,
Are you removing the small battery all together or are you planning to run both?
If removing, hook it up like before.

Also,
How do you know your isolator is crashed. Unhook the second side, run the machine, and what happens?

If you need a new isolator I would appreciate you considering buying form the club store - TrueAm UTV-SBI-18 Dual Battery Isolator with PEP

Thanks.

I am planning on running both batteries to keep the accessories off of the main harness. The isolator clicked on and off 30 times within about a minute with condensation built up inside of it. Then the battery went completely dead and it’s only a year old. I wish I would’ve known, I already ordered one.

No problem.
Proper way to test is to just unhook the AUX side and see what happens then.
A dead AUX battery will make the trueam isolators act funny sometimes.

I'd give Dennis a call at TrueAM. I'm not sure what he would recomend for 2 AUX batteries. I would assume 2 isolators of the primary.
