Has anyone had personal experience with both?

I have the Stinger installed and with my Battery Tender 800. Over time my main battery discharges and I can't start the motor. Checking the two small posts, one os a ground and the other shows 0 voltage. Guess the Stinger failed. I ordered the True as it gives a visual confirmation of activity.

Just wondered if anyone had nade the same switch?

Stinger has 2 uses.
1 - as a relay to power accessories. TrueAM can not.
2 - as a isolator to combine batteries like the TrueAm

Concerning #2.
The TrueAM and Stinger can be wired to do the same thing. Just the stinger will be manually opperated.

Question. And maybe i read it wrong.
But you say. "The small post has 0v"???
And it should alone.
You have to apply 12v from a battery source. Then the stinger "should" work bridging the large post.

Are you using one over the other?

I am using the TrueAM for the battery bridge.

I have a common relay in my fuse block that works similar to the stinger for powering accessories upon demand. Key-on or off.

If it's not too much time, can you draw me a diagram how your batteries and True AM and Stinger are wired? Thank you

Here is the basic TrueAM install.

When talking about all this. Dont combine the systems in talk.
- You have your dual battery system
- And you have your accessory system.
Talk about 1, And focus on 1. Not both in the same conversation. Then you will relize how simple the dual battery install actually is.

Adding a volt meter should be part of the accessory discussion later. As your choice of operstion will really simplify things... or not.
