I sold my FJ last year. That thing was crazy in snow. Up to the engine bonnet, press the diff lock and keep going. I’ve driven it with the snow over the tires. Easily. I loved pulling out jeeps. Haha. After the first time my buddy wouldn’t call me anymore because I took a video. Haha. Tires make the difference.

Yeah, when the stockers on my new F250 FX4 wear out, I’m getting something better, just about got stuck in 12” of snow Sunday, pitiful I thought.

It's freezing cold down here in Florida 54 and raining I'm ready for warmer temps until we hit 104 then I'm ready for cooler temps until we hit the 30's. I don't like ice on my hanging fruit.

Yeah, when the stockers on my new F250 FX4 wear out, I’m getting something better, just about got stuck in 12” of snow Sunday, pitiful I thought.

The FJ was crazy in snow. Duratracks helped too. My neighbors were all snowed in in 14’ and I drove by and backed up, haha. They were amazed. Then my phone rang and it was a friends wife asking if I could go next door and pull out Don. And older friend. A long drive down to the house and barn. He went down to pull out the brother of the guy I backed up to. I went down the driveway and drove around them, with both them saying NOOOOO. I drove through the drift, pulled up and put my window down and said, Did you call for a Toyota. Haha. At the same time they both said, Go F... yourself. Hahaha. Tooo funny.

Back in my last career I traveled and my work truck was a 2004 crew cab long bed lariat 2wd. I wound up on a contract on Wallops Island I stayed on Chincoteague I was there during the winter months we had 10in of snow. I was stuck, never needed 4wd it was a pavement queen toting my 1000lb tool box from airport to airport. I could not get out I spent 2 hours going forward and backwards to make barely any progress my superduty was useless. It could pull a 30ft camper up a mountain but 10in of snow on my highway tires it was pitiful.

You need good tires in the snow. 2wd in a half ton really sucks. My dad had a 2wd Chevy when I first got my license. Probably a good thing he never knew what I put that truck through. Haha. You just can’t stop. Haha.

Yeah exactly what I’m finding out, I’ve been real proud of it until Sunday when that happened, really not cool. Because of it two of us had to tote a 7KW generator a hundred feet in a foot of snow at 8,000’ we were breathin heavy on that cold air.
