Seriously, it could be tough on the ranchers. The mud is already knee deep. Toss in 2’ of snow and now you got a situation in which it doesn’t take much to loose cattle and their babies.

We are taking precautions to bring as many cows and calves into shelter as much as possible and stocking those areas with hay as much as possible.

Yeah, that sucks. In big storms they huddle up . Hopefully mama will look after her baby. And keep them away from the deep stuff.
A guy in Cape Breton has little plastic sheds for the calf’s to stay out of the bad weather. Look like little igloos.

Cooling off here this week, just 50’s today and 41 by Saturday with a wintry mix....

Then back to mid 60’s next week. Funny how winter struggles to hang on.

Getting that garage today, I was on the dozer till dark last night trying to get the road ready. Had to pull one gate post and one of the double gates to widen the 16’ entrance into the property from the county road and even push down a few trees along the county road to widen the approach.

Hoping for no problems.......

When I think garage I picture concrete flooring. Are you putting it on a pre-poured slab?

No, it’s wood floored, joists at 12” center with 4x6 runners for foundation, center runners under the joists where the wheels ride.

Its 88 degrees winds sustained 30 gusts to 50. Saw a guy trying to launch a 14 ft jon boat on the local 10k acre lake at a windswept boat ramp with whitecaps.

Lucked out, everything went well on the garage delivery, now I need to replace the temp blocking with concrete, run my 6x6 cross beams under it, underpin and backfill.
