Look like a broken record. Speaking of records may set some more before this summer is over.

I just have to laugh at setting records, Back in the late 70s early 80s we had summers where the temp would be well over a 100* and the subsequent winters we had lots of snow and temp below 0* with highs in the teens for as long as 2 weeks. One year the frost line got down to 24", talk about a muddy mess come Spring, you didn't get off of hard surfaces. We also had a drought where it didn't rain all summer, the man made lake we live close to was interesting, You could see the old roads that used to ford the river. Records! HA!

I recall those summer days. I never paid any attention to heat. Just kept going never thought about it. Sure, is different now.

Most of the weather people we have now weren't born yet in the 80s.

I can remember we had over 100 many times when I was a kid. And older doing roofs , so hot the shingles melting under your feet.
we haven’t seen 100 in a lot of years.
This morning was 48 when I got up at 6:30. A little dew on the lawn. Beautiful morning.
a couple weeks I’ll be at the camp.

I laugh at the idiots they put out to be in a hurricane. They are bent over, like the wind is going to blow them away, and a couple walk right behind him, standing straight up and waved to the camera.
Fake weather ?

Had a tornado warning at the camp yesterday. That a first. All good I guess. Didn’t get a call from my neighbor saying the camp was gone.
Haha

I meant heat index temperature. So, dry now. Going be bad in couple months. Only thing that could now seems like would take a tropic storm to make it to us.
Hit 105* for 1/2 hour today, 80* now at a 9:15 PM that's hot. Been watering the wifes flower beds tonight, they are wiltie

Only in the mid 90's here and still cooling off at night here.

62 to 82 +/- no clouds and humidity in the teens during the day a up to 50% at night.

just back from some time in the San Juan Islands...almost strayed into CA...temp a fair amount cooler and a dab of rain now and then but all in all a fine place. Seafood was wonderful but terribly expensive...$15 for 5 fried oysters. We used to get a bushel for $20 and a $5 tip from the Chesapeake Bay. But that's been a few weeks ago or so it seems. #1 son is trying to raise crawdads in a barrel but I can't seem to keep him from snatching some to see how they taste. Gotta let em breed and make little crawdads that will grow up to be biggens.

I bought some smoking pellets that are from LA and was supposed to be wonderful on seafood. Going to try them on dead pig ribs this weekend.

Gas was $6 or a bit more and glad to get back to Idaho for $4.65 gas. I'm getting a little tired of the actions of those folks in DC that I didn't vote for.
