P500 What did you do to/with your Pioneer 500 today?

The strap placement is a great idea, I'll use that if you don't mind.
Trailer looks like it was built for your P5, very cool.
What is that on the passenger side firewall? Looks like a heater...
if so, how well does it work?

I works pretty well, not so efficient like on P700 and up. But it helps in the winter with doors on and insulation mod I do.

I've tried couple heaters and aquahot is the best to me ( summit racing is good , but P500 does not make enough heat and I badly needed to save under hood space)

The terrain in those pics looks totally different than most of the pics you've posted. How far did you have to trailer to get to the Kings Hills? Like trigger said, good place to stop. I always put it in reverse when stopping at cliff edges, I've jumped in before and stomped the gas thinking I was in reverse. That strapping method is good, I usually strap twice just in case of failure. Btw solrus, did you u-bolt your skids at the outside of the frame, and if so how'd you protect the nuts on the bottom?

I just bolted using U bolts on outside, this is only place where it can be cached on a rock, right behind the front wheel, the chances are slim , the rest bolts are flushed (look up my DIY skid plate thread).

I was just curious because I lived in Forsythe in the late 70's and my brother lived in Three Forks in the late 90's so I've been really looking at photos you post to see if I ever recognize anything. Thanks solrus.

Not today. But Sat sat in it and ran it for a few to get the fluids moving. I'm getting real tired of living so far from any trails. I now understand why on CL here there are some used SXSs with low miles on them. This is getting really old. My ride sits for months without leaving the garage.

That sucks, how far away are the nearest trails? l'm about an hour away ,but we still go 3 or 4 times a month.

About 2 hours and there arent many trails. About 16 miles worth. I have been there so much it getting old. I got spoiled when we went to Royal Blue. So many trails in Tenn. You would think in NC there would be places to ride everywhere , but no.
I'm planning a trip to Brown Mountain NC. Its got more like 35.
I'm just whinning

Guys come to Montana, I'm still exploring area around my town, I think we have plenty on national forest trails and abundance of logging roads .
UTVs are also street legal here
