I don't carry any gas with me , unless I eat beans for breakfast........seriously, you should be fine , there are gas stations you can stop at if necessary. I don't think many carry fuel with them (some do).

haha wouldn't expect anything but the best from you @Chooglin!

2 riders, low fuel flashed on and off but made it back ok, seemed like a 5 hour ride and I was on the throttle going thru ruts. Fortunately, others in the group had extra gas and water (for a radiator mud wash out for high temp light). One issue was dust build up on a full windshield on a dry stretch of road, got a 1/2 windshield after that.

Thanks Mudder!

So question in regards to the half windshield... how do you like it? I have contemplated taking the full windshield off and putting on the half. Rain can be a pain (I carry a squeegee so it's not too terrible) but the sun glare, mud, etc. are more of a pain. Thinking of keeping full for winter and half for summer.

I rode the 1st day and only went through about 2.5 g . Went through more the 2nd day on the Jackal ride but never came close to running out. Depending on who you ride with...some carry everything. ;)

Thanks @trigger! Going to hold off on the gas can for now. You guys made that one easy.

I've gone to a half windshield for all this reasons. Don't get enough chance to run much in the winter so a full windshield isn't really needed. I don't miss the snow fouling the view.

Agree, run the full in winter and the 1/2 in summer. Check out the 1/2 Tusk with extra 2 in height and fold down option. Liking the fold down option on slow trails in summer for the cooler breeze. If dusty, several mask options are good (another thread on them).

I finally changed the brake pads today. One might say they were due, but I did get 2,340 miles out of the stock pads. The pads are a might bit on the thin side and it appears that the inside pads wear faster than the outside. Any ideas what might cause this? I'm glad to have changed them before the Takeover and another westerly excursion...

I can't even see out of my windshield when its open because it hinges open on level with my line of sight.

@100Acre , Wish I had bought this earlier, if they would just make a clip-on upper piece for winter it would be a great package. Looks like tomorrow will be a good day to do the seasonal swap from the winter full windshield. Heres the sight lines, Bayleaf would like it.

The only thing a full shield is good for is cold weather riding and even then it sucks. Feels like you're riding in an aquarium! The only bad part about a half shield is in a downpour. Been caught in a couple and just pull under a big tree til it lightens up. I like being able to reach through and push sh** out of the way too. You'll get wind in your face and sometimes eat mud but that's wheelin'!

Did some tractor bush hogging to widen trails, then took the P500 for a ride to smell the fresh cut grass. Trails were single wide and overgrown at start. Definately time for the half shield. Missed a picture of some wild turkeys checking out my work.

Have the SuperATV flip up. Downside when open is that if you're tall, it cuts right across your line of vision. I'm 5' 10" on a good day, and it is OK. It's easy to use, so you can open it and close it from the driver's seat on the fly. Trying to figure out a way to modify the lower section so it's easy to remove the hood.

The pad that is against the piston (inside pad) will wear a little more than the other (outside pad). There is a little more pressure applied to to the pad being pushed with the piston!

You're calipers may have been hung up with mud and debris. It's not a bad idea to clean them out any time you remove the wheels

I’ve got a rogue power sports screen that I run on mine when it warms up. Works great, cool, the bugs stop and air goes through.

I’ve got 6K miles on the original pads on my 11 year old Polaris Ranger and usually get 100k on my trucks. :D:D:D

Hey gents. Has anybody come up with a tractor throttle idea? And also any ways to seal the Honda doors up? I have tried foam and just about everything else I can think of?other than making tin rolled smoke shields. I’m getting tired of a wet leg.
