I hope so....but Honda should be sayin
that... not a Thread...
Replacing with same part..to
me..is a bandaid...not a fix..
so..to me...unless..it has been
Re- engineered. ..the problem...
still exists...
No RECALL Mentioned...?
IMO...
They chamfered the oil relief valves on mine and replaced clutches, think the chamfering is the cure.

If not to sound rude or anything I just don't know what it is bot what is it to chamfer the oil relief and what those that do for the clutch?

resolved....at purchase.
& that's crap..to do..to get a sale
....IMO

Lol.. the 1000 will be awesome once clutch issues are resolved. It just needs a few years of refinement. It's disappointing Honda r&d didn't do it to begin with!
I hope so....
Honda....has Highly damaged...there
own reputation ...& there sales...shows it...

I had to stay 50" or less where I ride most of time, I am also a long time Honda owner and always will be.
Sometimes I think they could do a little better job on stuff, It's steal the best thing going for me.

I will tell you why I bought the 500 and why I will most likely be replacing it with another machine.

Why I bought it
1) price (it was affordable )
2) it's a Honda
3) gear drive
4) size
5) manual shift

Why I am replacing it
1) The cab is to small , there is just no room to stretch out your left leg. This is the biggest issue I have with the machine
2) suspension
3)no locker (not really a big deal)

I really do like the 500 but after riding down at Hatfield Mcoy's, I have realized this Is no longer the machine for me.
If I could keep the 500 and buy another , that would be my choice.
what is your inseam?

Dude...goes way back...to the Harley days...
wrench all week..to ride on weekend...but
so many did it...die hards...
Got 2 guys here..who took pk1...back
to dealers..dropped off..not to get fixed
...but to say...this is junk..you knew of
it...& sold anyway...
yes to not ruin there credit...still Makin payments
..now they have Lawyered....up..
A smart dealership would stop all sales
.....pay a better engineer. .to fix..
Makes ya wonder..if & when the
Phantom Talon..rolls out....will it
have....Defects..?
Be very carefull with New model Hondas. Cars, motorcycles and UTVs are all suspect. Honda concept to release is not what it used to be. Honda has lost a lot of credibility in the last decade.

The Pioneer 500 has been about as tough and bulletproof as they get. We've sold lots of them, many of them getting pretty tough use, and the only issue a couple of them had was from not cleaning and oiling the air filter. Oh , and I think one with a bad angle sensor.
