Ok guys, I'm thinking about a 2 inch receiver on the front of my 1000-5 and buying a winch carriage mount that I can use on the front or back of my ride, I ride in the creeks a lot here and if I get stuck in a hole and need to pull myself backwards I'm screwed! Has anyone tried the 2 inch receiver winch mount? If so pics please, thanks!

A come-along will work in a pinch. I was trying to figure out a permanent winch to the back of the 1000(would work on 700) but gave up. Your idea is the only way.

That is the set up I currently run on my Ranger Crew, I haven't seen a 2" front mount receiver for the P1K other than that which is included on the aftermarket bumper thread. If anyone knows of one I would like to see it.

The new replacement winch bumper from Tough Country has a 2" receiver on the front, but I think the bumper itself weighs like 80lbs. Would put a lot of stress on the front end imo.

If it was not so expensive i would definitely order it! I know that i have stated it before in one of the other threads but... it saved my A** more than once!

I have the Warn winch , but it was needed for the plow. Now that the plow is off until next winter, it's nice to have. Not sure I would have put one on if I didn't have the plow setup. Sure is nice though.
