Started putting new ball joints in tonight. These suckers are tight. Used a MAC tool ball joint press and it took a major cheater bar to press joints in.

Are you supposed to sand the paint off the inside, before pressing ball joint in? I really don't know.

Mine were unpainted inside. Looked like a copper lube on them.

The picture looked like they were painted on the inside. I learned along time ago don't paint hub bearing races. Must going to last with that tight of a fist, looking good.

I think the c clips are over kill. Next time I will use some lithium grease. Wd40 didn't help much

Use Wd for washing dirt out of locks and stuff, then use real lube, really like LPS stuff, just can't find it around here anymore?

Can you get different shock mounting locations? I noticed Elka has two shock lengths for these P1's. Is there a different a arm for the longer shocks?

I've not seen any a-arms that move the mounting locations. Elka may be making a set longer go add a little lift not sure.
