What is the "PIONEER TAKEOVER"

• Our goal is to bring together a large group of Honda Pioneer owners and riders for a Group Ride Friday and Saturday with a friendly get together and meal Saturday evening around a bonfire.
• The event is begin organized by the Honda SxS Club by its members for its members.

• Enjoy majestic mountainside vistas and thrilling rides on some of the over 600 miles of trails, featuring picture-perfect waterfalls, elk viewing, and abundant wildlife.
• Ride Royal Blue offers 200,000 acres suited for all skill levels. The trails range from leisurely treks for families to white knuckle obstacles for thrill seekers.

• Annual Pass: Type 1 plus Type 93, cost $56
• Junior Annual (13+): Type 2 plus Type 93, cost $$35
• NOTE: A sportsman license will cover your riding permit.

• Daily Permit: Type 38, cost $40
• 7 day Pass: Type 72 plus Type 93, cost $84
• Annual Pass: Type 71 plus Type 93, cost $133

Itinerary
Friday

• DAY, Open ride during the day. Ride as you wish or meet up with other riders.
• Large Group Ride. TBD!

Saturday

• Open Group Rides.
  - Requesting riders group up on their own to limit guided adventures.
• ALL DAY Groups!
• Registered Groups are as follows. (signup will be required for these!)
  - AM, 1/2 day beginers group!
  - PM, 1/2 day moderate group!
• Times are TBD.
• Goal return time - 5-6pm!

Saturday evening - Hang out around the campfire for a meet-n-greet.

• Dinner at 7pm.
• Food - We are looking at providing a catered meal Saturday for all guest
• Door prizes at 8.
• Hang out around the fire until???

Just read through this thread and I'm thinking about doing it. Anyone live near there? How far is Caryville from the takeover and is it a decent place? Saw where I needed a hunting license and then another permit for like $84? Is that it or is there more?
Sorry for all the questions just want to know what I'm getting into.

They have computers setup in the office at Royal Blue just for buying the licensing.

We made it to royal blue today for some riding across from the interstate. We finnaly hit the dragons back and went up it, came down the widow maker, went to the sand mine? and to the eternal flame - which is still bruning in case you were wondering. We logged 74 miles and rode all new trails for us. Had a few issues on the way. YES that's 2 pioneers in a group of all 1000 razors!! P1000 trans slipping and oil light came on while sitting on a very steep incline, but it cleared up once off the incline. P700 & 2 1000's Had to pull it up the rock ledge. 1 flat on p1000 and the CO2 tank is a lifesaver!!!

Um seemed like 4 EVER!!! We were shaggin ass to get there then turned around and came right back.

I'm sure. It sucked the way we went. Freaking eyes hurt to blink from all the dust. I dont mind some gravel but we hit allot of gravel the route we took. Lol. We had fun tho.

Registration will be free, donations requested.
T-shirts will be available similar to last year.
Registration hopes to open before Jan 1 and last until April 1st 2018.

I'm just a bit North of you, up by New Richmond. Not sure on timing yet. I only have the cabin at rrb for Fri-Sat. But Im going to check to see if it's open Thur too. If it works out, convoy is always a good idea for a long road trip. Either way, see you at rrb in the Spring!
