Triax here as well, Montana Black gold sight 6 pin slider, Mathews QD quiver, Trophy taker Drop away. I have taken quite a few animals with it, with the last one being a mule deer buck on New Years Eve. My P1k5 opened up so much more land to hunt it is crazy. I used to beat my pickup to hell trying to get into some places. Now I can drive 20 minutes from home, jump in my Pioneer and cruise 40 miles on Dirt roads and be away from all the hunting pressure that public land creates. Bowhunting is my #1 hobby and my P1K5 was bought to do exactly as it has, put more animals in the freezer.

I’ve bow hunted since I was 12. I typically shoot Bear, have had a few Mathews ,Dimond and a few Jennings back in the day. My first bow kill as a kid was with a Jennings unistar plus lol. I have a center point cross bow I like to hunt with as well.

I started bowhunting with a recurve back in '74,and stopped with a Martin compound bow the year Daddy died in '88. 3 yrs ago I started back with this Mission Sub One Crossbow. Not at the point of being consumed with it, since it is usually just a few days of hunting in MO before gun season starts. This thing is super quiet and deadly accurate.9979253ed4e00618b6fd28eac7c23485B973a7dcd56a367557a10f56a8166376

Started with a recurve 37 yrs ago and then bought a Mountaineer dual cam bow. From there I went to a high country bow the a Jennings single cam now an older Matthews switchback xt. Too cheap to buy another. Darn things are more expensive than a good rifle.

I'd be ashamed to talk much about my 24 + year old PSE.
I had a bow shop tune it up in 2008 and they bit their tongue...
I did try a new PSE then, super nice but wow what they cost... haven't bow hunted since.
Yeah they cost a pretty penny no matter what you get but $300 to $400 will get you in the door pretty easy with a decent one.
