So no console? :(
I will still have a console , but I will be adding a small control panel on the front of the console bracket that I made. Going to add two usb charger ports and a Ram ball mount on it. 12v power to the control panel will have a plug , so I can unplug it for easy removal of the entire console.

I have decided to ditch the idea of trying to find a box/console that will work for this , so I am just going to make an all metal box!

This is what I came up with and we have already got started on it.

I will be adding this to the front of the box to charge my phone, tablet......etc. it will also have a 1.00" Ram ball mount.

This is what I will use to get power to the usb ports and power outlet. I will mount this on the rear of the box so the power cord can be disconnected for removal of the console.

This is the cord that will get power from the battery to the power outlet on the rear of the console. I already have a plug on my battery for a battery tender , so I will plug one end of the exstension cord to that and the other end to the power outlet on the console.

I will post some later tonight. I am going to install the new box tonight to make sure everything fits as it should. If everything looks good , I will take it to the welder guy so he can finish up the welding.

I have all the electronics for it , so I will install those after its all welded up.

We did a dry fit on the box and mounting bracket tonight. We discovered a few clearance issues with the mounting bracket , so we will make a new mounting bracket with all the corrections and it should be a go from hear on out.

I should have the new bracket in a few days to try it out , if it looks good , off to the powder coater for the bracket. While that's going on , we will work on getting the electronics all mounted and fit before the box gets coated.

We had to use a BFH on the mounting bracket to gain some clearance , so just ignore those bent corners :)......lol
