Off road vehicles do not have to meet DOT safety guidelines, so they don't build them that way.
I figured that much after your response. But assumed because the cost of using a master cylinder resivoir that they allready had engineered for a civic or something similar and could possibly save lifes seems like a no brainer to me.

Kind of surprising Honda didn't considering all the stuff they are proud about taking from the car division.
Ya, I was told by the man in the mirror that the wheel studs, tie rod ends, and tie rods are all essentially from an overseas model minivan, wonder if brake master cylinder with that safety feature is swappable too?

No argument here, since I could have been steamrolled when another P1k behind me cut his brakes going down Widowmaker hill. Had he not flipped over, he would have went over the mountain or slammed into me putting us both over the mountain.

Be an easy swap. To be honest there is some room there so this could be easily remedied possibly be taking it off and bringing it in and comparing. A lot of models are probably remotely close

Just dawned on me, the LE models with I4WD and per wheel braking traction, wonder if that is a different master cylinder as it can apply braking to each individual wheel, not just both front, both rear, or all four together.

Just got confirmation that the LE model brake master cylinder is different and like a common auto design with front / rear brake system split.

However do not know yet if easy or feasible swap, as in electronics involved or if it helps remedy should one line be cut.

Are you guys sure about this divided brake s***?
My Chevy truck had a rust perforation in one of the rear hard line last year (while I was on my way to ride at RRB).
Brakes went soft.
Then the low brake fluid light came on.
Then there was nothing.

Used the trailer brakes to get off the freeway.
Turned around and headed home adding fluid every time the low fluid light came on.
It was obvious one of the lines lost pressure.
Thought I could limp home but I didn't realize it would drain out to no brakes at all.
Trailer saved my ass.

Sounds like the P1k is similar.
Stop and fix it when you realize there is an issue.

Meaning at least clamp off the leaking artery. Right?

Any idea on how many lines coming out of it??

Anyone with an LE want to snap a quick picture?

I'm told the regular P1K is divided front/ rear, but LE is divided left / right. Not sure how that works out. If all fluid is lost still SOL.

Or ride it anyways because of the fantastic engine breaking. But I guess that shouldn't be suggested huh?

Ask @Kilo427 How that worked out for him, or @Windrock1000.
lol! That wasn't exactly the spot for that to happen. I think someone could get down Widowmaker on engine brake but....

I'm doing a pinion brake. Got the rotor done and working on the caliper mount now.
