I recently decided to dive into overheating problem. I decided first to put 4S1 UTV tracks and we run about 2-3 hours , 20-45 mph in about 2 feet snow. No issues , 2 bars on the dash. I posted it on Hodna Pioneer riders FB (adults only) , and Zach Morris told me that 2 bars is only guess and Im running hot and only tune can fix it.

I did not want to tune but rather try their overheat kit (high flow thermostat and 1.4 bar cap). I inquired FB store and Morris and got response that loyal customers who bought tunes can buy them now , and they dont sell kit separately anymore since they have no gain on them.

Well I looked through videos with their thermostat and my search yielded Jegs 170 that they modify to fit. JEGS 53238: High-Flow 170 degree Thermostat [Universal] | JEGS

I posted that 85$ kit and 15 $ shipping its overkill but most of all they push u into paying 800$ for tune and then u can buy this kit for discount of 60$

I decided to make my own thermostat kit and looked up some russian forums on honda bikes and found I think direct replacement (still in progress getting it to USA).

For my questions I was called asshole and banned :). As I told Morris that manners as important as education.

Now I need to ask who has stock thermostat can you measure overall length in mm, diameters of small and big flanges????

Thank you!

PS. He is selling now OEM thermo with Jegs and cap for 85$ . Not sure why to buy all of this if Jegs thermo is 7$ and cap is 15$ on Ebay or other stores.

Look at the stock fan shroud. There is a big gap on each side between it and the radiator. The fan will just suck air through the gaps instead of through the radiator. You can try sealing that up. Some people also just add a front pusher fan. I believe Spal also had a stock replacement fan motor. Not sure what the specs are on it but Spal is pretty top notch and is probably stronger. There was an aftermarket radiator and fan setup also but pretty pricey, think around $800. Morris guys are a joke. You see them on FB doing that to people all the time...

Honda pioneer 1000 riders (for grown adults).(Started because we act like a couple of 17 year old punks and got banned from all the other FB pages).
I wouldn't buy a tune from those clowns if they could make the Pioneer fly (which I'm sure...according to them, they can)

I think I found one but the OD was a little big. The Tstat is kinda weird with the double valve and the valve is offset on the housing. I just drilled a couple holes in mine. I've only overheated once and just had air in it.

So stock t-stat number is 19300-MCJ-003. Looks like that fits various sport bikes as well, according to a vendor on Amazon.
"HRC" sells a lower temp t-stat for the CBR, part number: 19320-MFL-R11. I can't tell what temp it is, but you can bets it's lower.

EDIT: 62*, which Is 144f? Might be too cool.

Um 2 bars on the dash isn’t even close to over heating...that’s normal temp far as Im concerned.
Honestly I’m not following what the issue is.

Take @snuffnwhisky advice and motor on.

That other tool can pound sand. Owning a computer and a scan tool doesn’t equal knowledge.

Yep. 2 bars is fine. 3 bars occasionally if there's a good reason why. 4 bars and you need to fix something with the cooling system.

I think its 193F, every Honda starts with temp then other numbers follow.

They do not have a dyno. They said they were pointless... Lot's of people got an earful for asking for dyno numbers haha.
Right? No need for dynos when you can post a video shot on a potato at 4am of a Pioneer taking off on the street to prove your $750 tune is tHe BeStEsT ToOn EvAr

I was trying to dig through their FB garbage to find one of those amazing "proof" videos, but they seem to have vanished just like most of the promises they make. I did come across this gem though:
