My ol lady been snooping around the garage while I’m working on the Talon. She asked if we could get backup lights along with couple other things before it hits the trail. Asking questions and giving feedback. Hope I don’t lose the Talon lol. She’s really liked them, somewhat secretly at times but says it’s her favorite rig to drive.

First time seeing one back in 19, but that guy was stingy and wouldn’t let us drive. Wouldn’t even go into the good trails with us.

then came 2020 and @popeye brought his over. She drove a lot then and loved it. I may be following her a bit lol.

You knew befor you got the rig, that you would have to fight her for the machine or the couch. You made your bed….

Maybe I’ll put a power steering cutoff switch under the dash that she doesn’t know about🤣

Buddy came over with my shifter boot today so got that installed. He wasn’t sure how to do it so chilled out while we figured it out. Harder with aftermarket plate I’m sure because it’s not flat on bottom. I did use double back all way around it and a couple self tappers to make sure it was secured good. Went right in no problems.
After seeing a couple of the mods it looks like I’m being conned into doing a couple things on his and he’s sending a few things back. Be easier the second time, all the figuring out is already done so I’ll be glad to do it.

Sealing up the machine as I go. Seems pretty simple considering how many complaints I’ve heard about how Sxs’s aren’t sealed up like a Jeep lol. Wasn’t worried about it but as well as windshield and rear window seal up why not.

Reason roof off was to install the backup light my wife asked for before the first trip Bought a little lighbar on EBay but hated the look and light spread. Looked through all my crap and found this little RV exterior light that was absolutely what I wanted. Angle was perfect and it’s got a 180 deg light spread. Kinda looks factory and no wires hanging down.

On an accidental positive sealing up the roof give it a noticeable bass increase. Sounds more throaty and crisp so that’s awesome.

I was going to say something about that. I've noticed the more sealing I do around the cab makes the system sound better. Bonus!

Night ride. I feel like it’s wife’s machine but that’s ok, glad it’s ok. Had to run to get gas and beer it first

Very cool night. First actual ride with the new machine and I never even drove. Wife suggested a night ride after a few beers and who am I to say no lol. Buttoned up a couple things and away we went. We ran through the mx track in the back yard, over the tripples, the big flat top we caught some air at one point and then bushwhacking in the deep back. She absolutely loves the machine in every way, says change nothing, surprised the crap out of me just how comfortable she was driving. Didn’t ask to soften suspension or nothing. Exact words were “it’s perfect” just needs better beer holders and place for the empties. I concour.
First Impressions. Even live valve is a bit stiffer then some would like, much more so then Pioneer at slower speeds but holy crap when you get right foot heavy it really listens and smoothes out. Like right now! Loved speed and abuse. Not an old man machine. Wife ran in low much more then I would and loved it, spins around instantly when hammer dropped. She says throttle response actually makes her feet more confident knowing the machine does what’s needed and that surprised me from her. 3hrs of riding got her to the point I was nervous coming through corners but machine felt planted considering all the new upper weight. My honest opinion is that there’s a high probability there may be another Talon in next couple years.
Great night and all the work proved to be well worth it. Omg what a fun night. Even the dog broke out the fence to come check to see if we were ok and go for a ride!

Seat belt circuit to a toggle switch worked for my son…
That’s a great idea. I’m going to do that specifically for non group people that want to drive it. Wish had the under hood key like Yami but I think that’s next best thing

congratulations on a job very well done. it's great that your wife enjoys the buggy as much as you. that's a big reward for all the time and hard work to make it better than a new machine.
