Removed the clunky speaker setup that came with the buggy and the poorly located pod lights.

Added a new sticker holder.

Easily +40 hp from the OG NTC sticker from @Mudwing.

I buy a LESS expensive part from @SuperATV and get all kinds of stickers..who knew?🤷‍♂️

I bought a pigtail splice from the club store and this cheap led license plate bracket with 3rd light.

Gonna trim it a bit and put it on the exhaust shield.

Battery gave up the ghost last week. Won’t hold a charge for more than a few minutes.

Decided to try this $50 battery for the time being as I’m planning on relocating the battery to another location anyway with a much larger reserve capacity battery and skipping the whole isolator bs.

Mighty Max battery fits perfectly. Had to bend the dog leg out of the terminals but otherwise it’s a good fit. Has slightly less ah vs stocker (18 vs 20) but it pops just as good as my P1k5, and it’s considerably less than the stock replacement.

Got the 3rd light finished this afternoon.

Here’s how I installed the light.

Finished a week trip to the Black Hills yesterday. About 4.5 days of riding in the Badlands and the Black Hills all said and done. Did get caught in one serious storm.

Over all the talon did great. Kids and wife had a great time. I don’t really think it did the trails better than my P1k5, but it was more comfortable for my older passengers for sure.

As the days wore on something or things in the front suspension were squeaking / chirping with more and more frequency, I suspect the front bushings are dry or worn.

Also learned that the 32” tires like to rub at full compression on the fronts. I suspected this was the case but didn’t have time to deal with it.

I was also surprised how well the stock skid plate held up. I wasn’t knowingly beating on it but for sure got a few good hits.

Here’s some various photos of the Flag over looking Nemo SD, parts of the centennial trail, some parts of bull dog canyon trail, my mini road train, etc.

Unfortunately I don’t have many photos of the rocky and really tight stuff…mostly because my go pro caught all of that stuff. Maybe later tonight I’ll clean up those videos and share them.

After a short run today, and riding last week, I’m going to move the seat bottom brackets on the drivers side forward about 1” I think. The welds are only on one side of the brackets. It should be an easy move I think.

The seat moving back, plus my modifications to the gas pedal and adjustment of the brake pedal really worked well and I was able to hold the pedal steady across obstacles, but the seat bottom itself is too far back in relation to the seat back.…imo.

Painting?
Yep. I really like how @CumminsPusher black Rops idea looks on his..I think it will really be cool on the orange talon.

I have some wheel black paint and several cans of clear that has worked awesome on Danger Ranger’s aluminum rims (pops truck now). I might even orange pin stripe the Rops..not sure on that yet

Finally got the last coat of clear on last night. I used a satin black wheel paint with a matte finish clear coat.

I was extremely surprised to learn when I started sanding the red Rops, it wasn’t powder coated but in fact painted.

Nice work. I liked the red but the black orange will be sharp
