Finally got some decent weather to open this thing up and get something done. Paint is done, floor went in, hung the spare. Rubber base still needs installed. Bought a bunch of 3/4" aluminum angle for all the end grain edges of ramp opening. Need to install the traction mats on the ramp but waiting for the hinged transition piece, supposed to be here Thursday. Found a toolbox just the right size to build a v nose cabinet around. Doubt I'll have that done for the takeover. Plan to take it out on Easter and actually haul the P5, haven't even driven it in there yet. Need to test the machine out too after changing the fluids and everything.

This looks damn good Trig!! I hadn’t thought about that for the floor and I like the rubber trim.

Trigger.... What did you use for flooring. I have an older toyhauler that I'm about to re-do the floor with 8mm rolled rubber flooring. I'm just waiting for the product to be delivered.

I'm using the rule of thumb that you can repeatedly spray it out with a hose and not damage it, not that I'd do that but...
It still amazes me they don’t have aluminum floor options. Sure they’ll put diamond plate on them. But of the two dozen companies I talked to only a couple had extruded floor options.

Why do you want aluminum,it scratches easily and is slick when wet?

It's a commercial grade vinyl tile that I had left over from building a department store. Super durable, resists chemicals, it was a pressure sensitive glue down. Like most finish materials, it's designed to be kept in a climate controlled environment. Don't know how it will react to the high heat and humidity of summer and extreme cold of winter?

How much was that stuff Rustell? Does it have a nonslip texture to it? Loose lay or glue down? I'm just thinking that if I have a problem with seams gapping or buckling I may go that route.

We have the thicker Tractor Supply Rubber mats in our horse trailer. They are heavy and lay flat and are easy to clean. Of course they are layed on top of marine grade plywood. They have been in there 7 years without the first problem.

I got 2- 15' rolls on Amazon. It was about $375 with free shipping. My current floor is vinyl tile, but it's 16yrs old and has seen better days.

I've heard that it lays flat very well, but I plan on using a bead of silicon adhesive around the edges.

I did my workshop/man cave floor with this mat from Costco.

Sorry for the gun porn.....maybe not.

Might work for some of your trailer applications.
