I do not have a lift so no worries there. I do have 30" blackwaters and would like to preload a bit more than I have now, but not much over stock. With those setting your running, is that stock bumpers and all?

Would like to preload back up to a little over stock height is what I meant to say

I have an emp rear bumper and Honda brush guard up front.. also a dual battery under the hood. I ran mine a bit when I just had the front shocks and they were at factory setting. They weren’t bad... but I felt a lot more body roll on the blacktop. You might try it first. It’s just one bolt to pull at the top shock mount if you want more.

An FYI. 2017 P3 LE with factory Fox shocks. I have 28" Sedona Ripsaws, no lift. I measure exactly 13" from floor to skid plate front and back. I removed the sway bar.
The rear shocks have no preload on the adjustment. The fronts measure 3 1/4", factory set.
I have the shocks set at medium and have never bottomed out the front.
I think I'm leaving everything as is for now.

Where are you measuring the 3-1/4" on the front?

That's how much threads are showing above the locknut.

Wow. Mine were set at 1" when I bought them and I just backed them off to 3/4" because the front end was so stiff.

Is everyone taking them off to adjust or adjusting on the bike?

Makes sense, I think I'll adjust, if needed again, when the wheels off too. That way I have more room to work. I did one with the bike on the ground and it was a bear.

I found it easier to just pull the top shock mount and lay the shock on its side with the bottom still attached. The front end is jacked up and wheels off. I am using a pipe wrench so maybe I need more room.

I used a shock spanner wrench. I bought this one and it works well for the rears but is clumsy in the front.

I also ordered this one in hopes its a bit easier to work with

My goal with the spanner wrench is to keep the adjustment nuts in nice shape
