I have a 2021 1000-5 Deluxe and put the Fix shocks on right away. Well, I'm always tweaking so I'm wondering what spring options are out there for the shocks. I've seen bits and pieces about spring swaps, but need to know where they are getting the info. Spent a few days on Rockhouse and was very impressed with the overall ride, but going to a true Tender spring would help a great deal. Need to soften up the little rumbles, did a great job on big hits.

BTW, do we get a discount from Highlifter? I need front arms. B18e78af21c7cc7369f59a1df889c42363285f6d6a686f9dc957cec3fa24a272827278c3fe4973c549ab9a1a9906fb16

Really, no one? I once saw a thread on this, but "Search" can't seem to find it.

Side note, Highlifter discount?

That's a screen shot I saved a couple of years ago. Take that info and try to figure out what you want to do to improve it. Most of the guys on here that have done the spring change don't post anymore. I know that I used a 300 lb spring in the rear from summit racing. It was only 14 inches long instead of 15.5 inches.

a suspension shop should be able to get the correct springs for the weight being carried. valving is more for how the hits and rocks are handled.

I put 14” 2.5” diameter 250lb springs on front and 14” 3.0 diameter 300lb springs on the rear, ride is great. I bought springs from summit racing, cheapest I could find that they had. I set preload at around 1.5“ for both.

Thanks, this is the starting point I was really looking for. I think I burned up 2 calculators on spring rate math. I'm trying to build a trail shock. In winter plowing season I will put the factory back on. My main goal is comfort and flex.

Why put the factory back on for winter plowing?

I like the self leveling since I put a 300lb plate in the back and run a V plow. I do quite a few driveways and don't need the soft ride, but need the weight handling. Plus lots of salt, no sense rusting the springs over a 20 minute swap.
