Went for another ride today. We were gone about 8 hours. I measured Joey's middle piece and his was cooler than mine. Come to find out he has a single 4" blower on his. So I may upgrade to a couple of 4" ers on mine. If you're gonna do it, do it right

Lol we spent time playing in the creek with the kids. I didnt keep up with the mileage. We left house at 10 and got home at 6 so actually an hour was spent traveling. We had a great time

Not sure if you're serious...
Your double three's move more air than his 4 so I think something else is causing the temp difference. But 2 x 4's would move alot of air! In-line the 3's and 4's have similar specs but running in the open (no piping) the 4's rule.

When I installed my blower (3in) I was getting almost 30 degree improvement on that middle plastic and 40 degrees on a plstic near the back seats. Not entirely controlled experiment but there's no doubt - huge improvement!

so you all are just running the blowers then? I'm about to order. No piping just blowers right?

Mine is a single blower installed similar to @Delton (he has 2) - no piping - directed towards the header.
Blows hot air towards and out the back of the machine.

Not sure what was causing the temp difference but we covered the same ground so conditions were identical. His is mounted in same location as me. Who knows?? I'm no engineer lol

Same insulation on the back side?
Same windshield / panel config?
Same skid plates?
Same flying leaps into water? LOL

I used a 4" fan which is slightly angled toward the header and I used 10ga wiring to the fan so there wouldn't be any voltage drop. Do these things make a difference? Idk

You can see that the bracket pivots on the fuel tank side and the other side is a clamp so it can be positioned for the best outcome.

Thats what I'm recommending from now on. After seeing how well Joey's setup is working. His is directed towards exhaust too.

AND, it survived all that water and mud riding! I thought for sure that the fan motor would quit after it went underwater.

I wish someone had a pic of that deep water next to the tree stump. I think i was the only one to go thru it and it was over my seat. I prefer to not ride that deep but I had already committed and another rule is never back down.

I think insulation is similar but skids are different. We both did the creek jump lol.

you think one blower is enough?

It is for me but I have insulation under the seat, seat belt holes taped shut, and the plastic gap filler between the seat belt buckles has been insulated on the back side.

Is that just the same material that is under the hood between the battery boxes and the dash?
