Milwaukee Packout.

With the spare tire holder I was limited to the boxes and a low tool box on top. I can get another box for on top of the cooler but I can open the cooler without removing it and I don't really need more room. I cut the rack to fit. Not as sexy as the AJK or others but cheaper.

My buddy's wife thought this was a good idea. OK for cold weather but that stuff'll be gooey come summer time! I'd put pretzels, hard candy, and other REAL snacks in there.

Has anybody had experience and/or recommendations about lockable mounting plates for the Milwaukee Packouts? It seems that Integral Truck and AJK Offroad both have these with different approaches to locking. I see from a couple years back in this thread that JumptChaneAZ had an AJK mount, and tried some locks, but I'm not certain whether these were the locks made by AJK. Thanks much for any info on these two or other brands.

Bought the AJK Offroad Packout base and Packout locks for the Talon. Base is great. Locking system is a no-go for the Talon.

Thanks Scoop! I have a P1K6, so space isn't an issue per the locks. It hadn't yet occurred to me that upper boxes won't be locked, but I only plan (salt over the shoulder) to use a single layer. Much appreciated.

You should be able to use the 3 wide plate in your PK6. Might depend on what size double box you use. But you don't have folding seats to worry about.

I have an XL toolbox which is apparently too wide to allow half-width boxes next to it on a 3-wide mount, but saw a video this morning where a guy sawed the aluminum 'strut' corners off to fit - it seems that they're there for attaching some smaller Packout accessories to, but more important to me to have the fit.

I have an XL toolbox which is apparently too wide to allow half-width boxes next to it on a 3-wide mount, but saw a video this morning where a guy sawed the aluminum 'strut' corners off to fit - it seems that they're there for attaching some smaller Packout accessories to, but more important to me to have the fit.

I know you have the 1000-6 and no seats in the back, but you could still install two standard mounts longways (accessible from the sides) instead of sideways (accessible from the rear).

Good idea, thanks; bit more expensive but not much in the scheme of things and adds flexibility. Would you mind letting me know how the Rotopax are mounted to the Packouts?

Yesterday at Lowes I saw the Klein line of boxes on display. They use a similar lock-in system as Milwaukee so I think they will be a close competitor. Klein is well known in the industrial world and carries a good reputation with construction hands. Klein doesn't have the extensive line of boxes like Milwaukee but they probably will be adding more.

Two standard MP mounts are like $30 each. Far less than a single AJK or similar mount.

Would you mind letting me know how the Rotopax are mounted to the Packouts?
