Installed the steering wheel this morning. Thanks to CP, the install was easy.

couple of notes;
*The accordion piece from the other cheap kit works perfectly, but it does need a small amount of trimming to fit properly. Easy stuff.
*I now see why CP said it trimmed the top of the steering shaft.. can't fit the horn button on. Not sure what I'm gonna do here. I'm not all that jazzed about trimming the top of the shaft down, but we'll see.
*inexpensive steering wheels come with cheapassed screws. I stripped out the allen top on one of 'em just tightening it down. Crap. Gonna go to the parts store tomorrow & get 6 quality screws to replace them.

Other than the gaping hole where the button goes, it looks good!

I love that wheel!
I think I forgot to mention add a steering wheel horn spacer will allow you not to cut the shaft. I’ll find it

Spent some time working on the bed sides today. Got most of the holes drilled and test fit.
It’s coming together pretty good! Still have some grinding & smoothing to do before I send em off for powder coat.
I can’t decide if I’m gonna powder coat the saw press or not...

I really like that steering wheel. Would you mind posting a link for it? What other parts do I need @CumminsPusher

I finally got around to putting a pair of cubes on for backup lights. Had them on the Viking & they work great. For the P1K, I utilized a hole in the back side of the roll bar to attach a short piece of flat bar for mounting. I was able to put them right where I wanted.

I decided to make use of the 24” dual row Rigid bar I took off the Viking. I was gonna do the 52” across the lower windshield... and still may sometime. For now though, this one will work fine.

I looked at a couple different ways to mount it, and came up with this today.
A severely tweaked pair of short bars I had in my toolbox, bolted to a bar clamp.
Looks kinda ghetto right now, & I do have a little more tweaking to do on one of em...
But here it is.

I can get it about 2” lower, and I think I might do that.
Also have to find some shorter bolts & loose the washers lol!

Well, it’s been a busy week!
Spent a few days at Barrett-Jackson last week, so I was determined to make some progress on my days off this week.
Hooked up the Rigid 24” light yesterday.. I’m still going to replace those mounts, but for now, they work.

Put 6, 1/4” bolts on the bedside, and 4 across the top. That should be more than enough to properly hold it together.

I’ve decided not to powdercoat the saw press, but am

Okay, today I finished installing all the jack-nuts for both sides of the bed. Also drilled all the holes along the sides to hook straps or bungies into.
All that’s left is a little more welding, and powdercoat.
I paid special attention to the side that will have the saw press on it, by putting 8 jack nuts in the side, and 4 across the top. The other side just has 4 in the side, and 4 across the top.

The other little item I tackled today is the constant rattle I get at idle coming from the passenger door.
The rattle is not from the hinges, it’s from the trim panel bolted to the outside of the door.
I took it off, & wrapped the 4 plastic studs with duct tape, leaving about a half inch or more sticking up. Put the panel back on... and no more rattle.
