View attachment 101684 View attachment 101685 View attachment 101686 I decided to make use of the 24” dual row Rigid bar I took off the Viking. I was gonna do the 52” across the lower windshield... and still may sometime. For now though, this one will work fine.

I looked at a couple different ways to mount it, and came up with this today.
A severely tweaked pair of short bars I had in my toolbox, bolted to a bar clamp.
Looks kinda ghetto right now, & I do have a little more tweaking to do on one of em...
But here it is.
I drilled some holes in the well where you mounted your isolator for mine so it wouldn't hold water.

I can get it about 2” lower, and I think I might do that.
Also have to find some shorter bolts & loose the washers lol!

You can get real low on the bar with a 20-ish inch light bar. Visibility is much better over it.

Also changed out my OE battery. It had an internal issue of some sort. Picked up a Die Hard brand battery with 220 cca. Works great!

Something is strange though.. where my volt meters previously hovered around 14, now they both display 7.5-7.9....
Is that correct? We’re the high readings before because the battery was weak?

Thanks man, I hope it looks as good as I envision when it’s powder coated, but regardless, it is STOUT.
Stout is good!

Okay, found my electrical issue.. I had neglected to hook the ground wire for the panel back up.
I decided to take this time to tidy up the underhood wiring a bit. Also finished installing the relay & wiring for the underseat fan.
Lookin a little cleaner under here now.

Finished the fan install today.

I decided to use light weight aluminum angle.
First, I cut a piece for across the top. I put a 90 at the end so I could attach it to the frame there too. I used a Chevy u-joint cap to attach the angle to the round tube.
Next, I made a box around the fan, added a support on the bottom so it would stay where I put it.

All in all, I think it turned out okay.

I obviously have several months before I can tell if “just” an 8” fan will cool the seat bottom enough.. but I’ll report back when that time comes.
I’m still looking for the right vents to put in so the heat can go the other way(into the cab). When I figure out which vent fits and works properly.. I’ll let ya know.

I believe it will, thats what I have and works great, thinking about removing the seat insulation for winter heat.
