I've had a go pro for like 2 years now and never used it. Also I take very few pictures while riding. I don't get it but maybe I just want to keep it to myself so when people ask I say you have to be there. Videos never do a ride justice.

I agree. I will say I like that the garmin at least shows how steep or off camber something is. All the cameras flatten everything out.

I agree that video doesn't come close to representing what's actually happening, especially how steep some climbs are. What I like about having video is it reminds of things.

If it must go through the hood, my preference is short.

It's all what you want and need. I like having mine a little higher. The first time crossing a deep spot in a creek I'm glad it was.

I left mine long and then shortened it up till I found my preference I have 5" of pipe exposed above the hood before the head.

The biggest thing is to not get the splash effect that's taken out a few motors and you got that covered.

I've actually had water splash up almost as high as my snorkel hood... caused by going against the current in the creek.

I think it looks fine. My pipe is 10in long total from the air box to where it sits in the notch in the snorkel head.

I think 13 inches is what I cut the aluminum pipe... I think that leaves about 3-4 out. I found that the most ascetically pleasing.

Started today by picking up the last 3 months of peaches (my Airedale) poop. Pulled all the weed and cut back the ornamental grasses. Went ahead and replaced the ladder on the back of the camper. It's been broken since the weekend I bought the thing. The first storage I tried to put it in wasn't big enough. Also went ahead and finished all the vent lines on the Honda. Found the fan and shiftbox and routed them up and zip tied to the top of the cage. Was going to start on my replacement shackles for the toy hauler but decided I would wait until I had a hand just in case. Don't want this thing broken down in my driveway or worse yet to fall on me and no one be around... pretty productive day here in Arkansas.

Yea I like all the metrics and stuff. Every camera flattens out the terrain. At least with the garmin you can put up an inclinometer to show how sketchy it was.
