You know that the ram puts out more torque at the wheels than the Ford? It failed miserably compared to ram and gm!

I've always had really good luck out of my ford. Numbers are numbers. Dynos can be misleading and that's only a small part of the vehicle anyways. For instance, if the shocks are constantly falling off, it doesn't matter how much torque it has... I had one cummins in 2003 and put 5 transmissions in that truck in 50k miles. It soured me pretty hard to dodge trucks. I loved the look of that truck but it just didn't hold up.

This is my first 4 trucks. The cummins is in the bottom right of this picture. My first truck was a W100 that I spent every nickel I could scrape up in high school painted it myself (with some guidance) built the engine (with some guidance) basically rebuilt that whole truck. Had 302k miles when I got it.

Some great looking trucks there. No doubt you're a truck guy. My favorite is that w100. All your rigs looked good but you don't see those anymore unless beat to death. If you're like me you're first car really means something especially with the time invested. Really nice job by the way!

Top of shock came undone and drug the highway for 60+ miles. Lucky it didn't do any other damage.

That is crazy - Thank goodness it did no damage - I don't even see how that is possible. When I first looked at the pic I thought it was a shock but thought surely that could be felt. I do get how with an unloaded trailer on you might think anything abnormal is due to the trailer. This week is full of all kinds of repairs for you

Yep. I've had a couple of these now also... as you can see I used to not worry about debt, just the monthly payment. It's no fun now driving the same truck year after year, but it is nice not paying for it.

I went back to a DuraMax Denali last fall, (not a dually though) and do really enjoy it.

I kept breaking the cheap little tie downs in the floor. I tried putting in some heavy duty ones , but I'm going to need a router or something to get them counter sunk. Ended up just installing my wheel chock tie downs and I think I'll be good.

With 4 straps and the wheels strapped down I think it will be solid. I'll stop and check it periodically on the way to Tennessee so I don't have it end up sideways back there like my trip to mulberry.
